My name is Greg Macer, and like many of you,
I’ve spent years inside classrooms, lesson plans, and school systems that promised preparation for the “real world.” But over time, I saw something missing—the spark. The curiosity. The sense of joy in learning by doing.
from teaching in rural classrooms to supporting districts across Pennsylvania—I’ve come to believe something deeply: real learning happens when we stop performing and start exploring. When we make. When we tinker. When we wonder out loud.
AI and Education
It’s easy to see AI as just the latest buzz in education—but it’s far more than that. AI is a powerful force that can amplify creativity, personalize learning, and open entirely new possibilities for students and educators. At the same time, it challenges us with ethical questions, bias concerns, and the risk of over-reliance. The key is not to fear or blindly embrace it, but to approach AI with curiosity, responsibility, and a clear vision for how it can serve learning rather than replace it.
